The Sons of DFS guys are back and are on the hunt to rake in some cash, with their favorite DraftKings targets for Week 8, once again. Normally, this is a point in the season in which finding that optimal roster construction becomes more difficult as the CPU behind the scenes at DK starts to price players up more consistently. However, there are some very intriguing “loopholes” in Week 8 and you’re damn right we’re here to exploit them.
We’re going to look at some studs, some values, and some players we feel best to target based on matchup and data we have acquired from Run The Sims.

Let’s jump into the content.
Damien Harris | RB | $6,900
We were all over Damien Harris last week and he paid off tremendously, rushing 14 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns. This week he’s got another favorable matchup in the Los Angles Chargers.
The Chargers are giving up 5.4 YPC (worst), 162.5 rushing YPG (worst), and 29.8 rush attempts per game (5th-worst). This is a game the New England Patriots will want to control the time of possession and grind out a win through the run game. While the passing game isn’t there for Harris, he should flirt with 20+ touches this week.
Jalen Hurts | QB | $7,200
We said it on the show last week and I’ll say it again this week — Jalen Hurts has proven to possibly have the safest floor of any QB on the main slate and seems to be matchup-proof at this point.
His low score on the year is 21.8 in Week 2, with his highest coming Week 4 vs the Kansas City Cheifs with 31. That gives us a solid foundation to build off of, with a pretty nice ceiling. Run The Sims has him with a base projection of almost 25 fantasy points.
Cordarelle Patterson is an RB2 that gets 5-7 targets per game.
Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts are RB1’s that play QB.
D’Andre Swift is a RB2 and a WR2 in one.
Kyle Pitts and Mike Gesicki are WR2’s that you can play as a TE.
Allen Robinson and Mike Davis are droppable.

The rushing upside is key, and because Hurts has shown tendencies to run, especially over the last two weeks, I’m inclined to play him naked vs in a stack. I love Hurts for Cash and you should too.
Courtland Sutton | WR | $6,400
Denver Broncos wide receiver, Courtland Sutton currently leads all wideouts in air yards (940), deep targets (19), and prior to Week 7, was tied for 1st with Cooper Kupp, Diontae Johnson, and CeeDee Lamb with 0.7 XTD per game. This week Sutton gets a top-3 matchup in the WFT who rank 2nd-worst in PFF coverage grades (37.0), 5th-worst in Football Outsiders pass defense DVOA (26.8%), worst in pass YPG allowed (300.6), and worst in FPG allowed to WRs (37.7).
With Jerry Jeudy making his way back to the field this week, I like Sutton as a solid GPP play.
Michael Carter | RB | $4,900
I’ll keep things really simple here. This should be a competitive game, but still, the New York Jets should be trailing. He has nine targets and eight catches last week. Carter has at least three targets in every game in 2021. The game script appears to favor the former North Carolina Tarheel, who played a season-high 72% of the snaps in Week 7.
Keep an eye out to see who starts at QB for the Jets.
Michael Carter led all Jets yesterday with a 22% target share.
Ty Johnson was second at 17%.

If it’s old Joe, Flacco is a check-down machine. With 19 total touches last week, and plenty of reason to expect an uptick this week, Cater is one of our favorite GPP punts on the main slate.
Diontae Johnson | WR | $6,700
This season, Diontae Johnson has at least 14.5 fantasy points in all five games, (despite two injury games). He’s finished top-10 in XFP in four of his five games this year. For perspective, compare that to Cooper Kupp, who has just two top-10 finishes in six games.
On a per-game basis, he ranks 11th in FPG (20.9), 3rd in deep targets (2.6), 2nd in targets (11.6), and 2nd in XFP (20.9). With Juju Smith-Schuster out of the fold and a Cleveland Browns defense that’s allowed the 7th-most FPG (29.4) to opposing wide receivers this season, Diontae is a strong play this week coming in priced as the WR11.
