Feeling heavier in the wallet after last week’s bonanza? The prop gods have been most generous so far in 2021 and here’s to more of the same this week. Here are my Prop Locks, Week 8 Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Ja’Marr Chase Anytime touchdown scorer (+110)
I feel like this is almost getting to be a weekly plug and play situation here with the rookie phenom. With six touchdowns in seven games, Chase has skyrocketed to historical territory. Being the WR1 on Cincinnati’s seventh ranked offense, Chase is a threat to score every week. And this week, the fledgling New York Jets have the task of trying to slow the Ja’Marr express down. Good luck with that. Chase has seen double digit targets in two of his last three games and that volume will continue this Sunday.
Patrick Mahomes Over 2.5 touchdown passes (-105)
Mahomes is struggling. His four touchdowns and five interceptions over the last three games is the worst stretch of football he has ever played. Thankfully, the New York Giants are on their way to town (yup, picking on those New York teams again). Although not horrible, the Giants are inept at best. They allow two touchdowns a game and haven’t really been able to stop anybody. Andy Reid and his crew will right their listing ship (3-4) on prime time Monday and Mahomes will lead that charge.
Justin Fields Under 28.5 pass attempts (-125)
Speaking of struggling quarterbacks, somebody throw Justin Fields a life preserver. I don’t quite understand this number to be honest. Fields has only attempted more than 27 passes once this year, last week, and it was a disaster. Zero touchdowns, three interceptions, and a QBR of 44.3. In addition, Fields gets to line up against the NFL’s third ranked pass defence in the form of the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, a defence known to harass quarterbacks. Nagy will need to keep the ball on the ground and control the clock in order to pull one out this week.
Jonathan Taylor Over 72.5 yards rushing (-115)
There’s nothing like riding the hot hand all the way to the bank. In his last four games, Taylor is averaging 102 yards rushing per game and has scored five touchdowns. Seems as though Frank Reich has finally clued in on who to feed in the offence. The visiting Titans, although riding a hot streak of their own, are still giving up a healthy 103 yards rushing per game as well as a touchdown on the ground. This bodes well with the Colts’ 7th ranked rushing attack at 127.6 yards per game. Heck throw in Jonathan Taylor anytime scorer (-125) as well. I’m feeling bullet-proof this week.
Hope you enjoy my week 8 prop bets, be sure to check back next week and keep up the profit with me! Share the knowledge. Share the wealth. Wager intelligently and as always, have fun with it.
