Top-5 NFL DFS Targets on DraftKings for Week 14

Josh Jacobs | RB | Las Vegas Raiders | $6,200 | Value

This is borderline not a value, as I generally make the cut-off at $6,500 – but at least for this week he still comes in under the threshold. Jacobs is coming off of a nine target performance in Week 13, in which he ran 73% of routes, and also has a target per route run percentage of 28% which ties him with Ceedee Lamb, Cooper Kupp, and George Kittle at the second-highest % according to Jacobs Gibbs of SportsLine and CBS Fantasy.

With Kenyan Drake now sidelined with a bad ankle and the Raiders heading into Arrowhead to face the Kansas City Chiefs that Vegas Odds Makers have given a 52.5 projected point total, I’m on board with Jacobs this week – something I rarely have said before and despite the Chiefs defense playing much better at this point. With Kenyan Drake sidelined with an ankle injury, I look for a solid performance in Week 14.

Justin Herbert | QB | Los Angles Chargers | $7,100 | Pay-up

Pay downs, and even values are looking extra scarce this week. In my opinion, I’ll probably find myself picking one of these top-5 priced pay-up options in most of my Week 14 builds for the main slate. There are four players priced higher than Herbert at the QB position, but I’ll take the guy cheaper than all of those, who has thrown for no less than 34 pass attempts in any game this season.

Over at RTS, Herbert has the second-highest base projection with a 26.5, second only to Pat Mahomes who is $900 more — even if we love KC this week.

AND

Jalen Guyton |  WR | Los Angles Chargers | $3,400 | Punt

I already have Justin Herbert and I LOVED pairing him with. Mike Williams who is now on the reserve/Covid-19 list. When the news broke Wednesday I was legitimately disappointed, however, I’m really excited for this play. Jaylen Guyton went 4 for 4, good for 90 yards, and a tuddie in Week 13. You can clip this if you want Dan, but I’m calling my shot now: another trip to the end zone in Week 14 for this kid.

At near-minimum pricing, he’s an absolute lock. Stack him with Herbert and make some money.

Travis Kelce | TE | Kansas City Cheifs  | $7,400 | Pay-up

I really wanted to go with Rob Gronkowski here, but I cannot get away from Travis Kelce – and our models really love him too. Kelce is obviously a great play, per the usual, BUT their opponents the Las Vegas Raiders have been the second west team against the position over the last four weeks of 2021, giving up five red-zone targets and four red-zone touchdowns in that span.

Pat Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Kelce all had massive performances on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 10 against the Raiders.

Antonio Gibson | RB | Washington Football Team | $6,000 | Value

Antonio Gibson has been coming to life the last few weeks. Over the last four games, he’s seen 95 rushing attempts. And the past two games he’s seen 13 targets, good for 12 receptions and north of a 20% target share. He touched the ball on 46% of Washington’s offensive snaps while accounting for 37% of the total yardage in Week 13. Those are stud RB metrics and he is priced too low again this week as it looks like J.D. McKissic has an uphill battle.

The last time Gibson faced Dallas:

  • (Week 12 of last season), he generated 39.6
  • FPs during Washington’s 41-16 Thanksgiving
  • Day victory.

Gibson was one of my favorite plays at the position last week and I’m going back with him this week at a cool $6,000.

Tee Higgins | WR | Cincinnati Bengals | $6,400 | Value

Tee Higgins has been absolutely electric the past couple of weeks, hauling in a combined 15 catches for 252 yards and two touchdowns. That’s good for 58.2 total PPR points, for those keeping score at home. I’m all about this late-season reemergence, after a slow start to the stud receiver’s sophomore season. It’s safe to say Higgins was a little dinged up earlier in the year, not to mention living in the shadow of explosive rookie Ja’Marr Chase.

Higgins appears fully healthy right now, and he also appears to be Joe Burrow’s top target once again. If he suits up, he’s a fine play against a Niners D that just allowed Tyler Lockett to log seven catches for 68 yards and a score.

Together with Run The Sims, we’re still working on making sure we’re bringing you the best available plays each and every week.
